Parsons Dance
Trained at the Alvin Ailey School before joining the Paul Taylor Dance Company, Artistic Director David Parsons uses every crayon in the box to create thrilling moments onstage. Like his iconic work Caught, a breathtaking illusion where the dancer’s feet seem to never touch the ground. Sensual and muscular, thought-provoking and uplifting—let this top-notch ensemble transport you to another world.
Nimbus Dance
Nimbus Dance returns to NJPAC! The boundary-pushing, community-driven modern dance ensemble performs a special program as part of the TD James Moody Jazz Festival—including the world premiere of Raucous Caucus Tango, a collaboration with GRAMMY® Award-winning tango virtuoso Pedro Giraudo. This creative mash-up of bawdy storytelling, slapstick humor, and exquisite choreography pokes fun at our electoral process, set to the passionate, dramatic rhythms of Argentine tango.
A Conversation with Stacey Abrams Presented at Kings Theatre
Join Stacey Abrams, political leader, voting rights activist, entrepreneur, and NYTimes bestselling author for an evening of candid conversation and insights on politics, leadership, entrepreneurship, social justice, and being a true voice for change. Designed around worldwide and national events, as well as questions from the audience and community, this conversation with Stacey Abrams, will entertain, inform, and empower. “People tend to remember the first time they heard Stacey Abrams speak, and it’s easy to see why.” – TIME Magazine Abrams’ New York Times bestselling book Lead from the Outside: How to Build Your Future and Make Real Change, is a personal and empowering blueprint for outsiders who seek to become the ones in charge. From her experiences launching a company to building Georgia into a premier battleground state, Abrams illuminates that finding what you want to fight for is as critical as knowing how to turn thought into action. Our Time is Now is a blueprint to end voter suppression and chronicles a chilling account of how the right to vote and the principles of democracy have been and continue to be under attack. Dedicated to civic engagement, Abrams has founded multiple organizations devoted to voting rights, training and hiring young people of color, and tackling social issues at both the state and national levels. She is the 2021 recipient of the inaugural Social Justice Impact Award from the NAACP Image Awards.

Bill Charlap Trio • 4th Anniversary Celebration!
“The premiere mainstream piano trio of our day.” – The New Yorker Bill Charlap leads his long running piano trio in a pair of weekend livestream concerts. Known as a master interpreter of American popular song, Time says, “No matter how imaginative or surprising his take on a song is, he invariably zeroes in on its essence.” Charlap has performed with many leading artists of our time from Phil Woods and Tony Bennett to Gerry Mulligan and Wynton Marsalis and led this trio since 1997. The Guardian explains, “As a unit, this must be one of the best piano trios ever, and certainly as instantly recognisable as any of its great predecessors. Charlap’s touch on the keyboard is light, almost stealthy, even when playing full chords, but always firm, clear and beautifully articulated. With the spirited support of bassist Peter Washington and drummer Kenny Washington (famously unrelated), the total effect is just perfect.” “Smoke, late to the live-streaming game, showed that waiting was worth the wait, with its inaugural online concerts. The smallest of the major clubs by capacity, the Upper West Side venue known for its intimacy in person was well recreated online, with the best sound this reviewer has (virtually) heard thus far and no less than six camera angles.” – Andrey Henkin, The New York City Jazz Record

Imani-Grace Cooper & Friends LIVE STREAM & In-person Concert
Imani-Grace Cooper, vocals Dana Hawkins, drums Adam Johnson, bass Terrence Cunningham, piano & vocals Imani-Grace Cooper is a tender vocalist from Minneapolis and a Fine Arts graduate of Howard University’s Jazz Department. Imani-Grace’s expressive delivery -- which ranges from plaintive to rapturous -- constitutes her various performance spaces, including The Washington National Cathedral where she’s been the regular voice streamed live to millions across the world during the COVID-19 pandemic. With a life-long background in church and theater, Imani-Grace unveils the power of eloquence and its ability to establish connectivity for even the broadest audiences as she elevates listeners to their higher-selves from any and all stages. Such stages included Quincy Jones's 'Q's Lounge' of the Palazzo Versace Hotel, The JF Kennedy Center for Performing Arts, as well as church pulpits across the nation. The nephew of legendary blues guitarist Etta Baker, Terrence Cunningham has music in his DNA. He started to play the piano at just 3 years old, and by the time he was 13, Terrence was getting paid as the music director of his church. Three short years later, Terrence found out he would be a father at the age of 16. With the support of his family, he was able to co-parent and still focus on his musical talents. Terrence has spent time performing all over the country and even toured South Africa. After moving to Los Angeles, he landed a spot on the blind auditions for Season 14 of NBC’s The Voice. Terrence Cunningham is an international recording artist, singer/songwriter, who has from his experiences on and off stage developed a true heart for people, wanting only to give a gentle and empathetic reminder of our self-worth. Some know him as a musician, many as a friend, and most as both. Check out the recordings of Imani-Grace's previous appearances at An die Musik Live! Showtime is 7 pm ET/6 pm CT/5 pm MT/4 pm PT/11 pm GMT A limited number of in-person seats are available for $25 each. Please email henry@andiemusik.com for stipulations.
