Hudson Hall at the historic Hudson Opera House presents the 2022 Hudson Jazz Festival, scheduled for February 10-13 and 17-20 and curated by creative producer Cat Henry. Entitled “Lift Every Voice,” after the Black national anthem, the eight-day festival conveys a message of hope and revival and celebrates the artistry of Black jazz musicians and their innovation of the genre.

Brass Queens is an 8-piece brass band whose music is deeply inspired by the New Orleans tradition, which influences their sound that spans various genres. Hailing from Brooklyn, NY, the Brass Queens features an all-female horn section. Fat Boi's Brass Band is a nine piece NOLA style brass band bringing the music and tradition of New Orleans all over New York. NOTUS is the house band for JAMbalaya! at DROM. Founded on the love for the spirit of New Orleans and the intrigue of New York's cultural musical diversity, NOTUS came together in January of 2018 seeking to accomplish only three simple goals; create music, have fun doing it, and share it with the world. They are care-free and fun-loving pioneers of Brass Fusion, combining elements from contemporary New Orleans Funk, Traditional Brass, Rock, Pop, Hip-Hop, Latin, and Jazz.

Celebrate the incredible legacy of dancer, choreographer, and educator Nai-Ni Chen with this special performance. Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company has been a beloved presence at NJPAC since we first opened our doors in 1997. And we’re honored to pay tribute to the life and work of our friend Nai-Ni Chen on the NJPAC stage. In addition to vibrant dance commemorating the Year of the Water Tiger, we’ll also be joined by the innovative Ahn Trio (featuring Lucia Ahn on piano, Angella Ahn on violin, and Maria Ahn on cello).

Blippi The Musical brings the energetic and loveable character Blippi off the screen and onto the stage with world-class production, audience engagement and amazing music. Children from the ages of 2 to 7 years old across the world have quickly taken a liking to Blippi’s charismatic personality and innovative teaching lessons! Broadway actress/singer Rosena Hill Jackson and her ensemble will take you on a journey into the music of Sarah Vaughan with delightfully new arrangements written by Grammy-winning trombonist and music arranger Jason Jackson. Rosena Hill Jackson is a veteran vocalist; some of her Broadway credits include The Color Purple, Ragtime, Riverdance, After Midnight, Dreamgirls, Mandela, Ain't Misbehavin’, and more. With vast soloist experience, she has performed extensively, including at Carnegie Hall with The New York Pops, The New York Philharmonic for PBS, Long Island Philharmonic, The Cape Cod Symphony Orchestra, The Memphis Symphony Orchestra, and Teatro di Massimo Symphony Orchestra in Palermo, Italy.

Sir Dallan G. is a queer jazz-funk vocalist based in Queens! They are an eclectic mix of jazz, funk, spoken word, drag, and more! They proudly present "Queer Vespers and Friends," a program that is an eclectic mixture of funky originals and jazz standards reimagined.
