Danny Jonokuchi
Danny Jonokuchi amazed our Bickford audiences when he made his debut last October at the Bickford Benefit alongside Dan Levinson, now he makes his Back Deck debut with his own band! Danny Jonokuchi & The Revisionists are a New York City based swing band that performs for the international Lindy Hop community. Fueled by a love of dancing, their music has been described as “smile-inducing” (DownBeat) as well as “crisp, clean, and refreshingly joyful” (Syncopated Times). Bring your own chairs and refreshments and enjoy live entertainment atop the Morris Museum’s elevated parking deck. Stunning sunsets, social distance, and glorious live music combine for a series of unforgettable evenings.
Balourdet Quartet
Making their Lot of Strings debut, the Boston based Balourdet Quartet has quickly made a name for themselves as rising stars in classical music! They are currently in residence at the New England Conservatory’s Professional String Quartet Program, received the Gold Medal in the 2020 Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition and the Second Prize in the 2019 Carl Nielsen International Chamber Music Competition, and, most recently, top prize at the Borciani Competition in Italy. Bring your own chairs and refreshments and enjoy live entertainment atop the Morris Museum’s elevated parking deck. Stunning sunsets, social distance, and glorious live music combine for a series of unforgettable evenings.
Evan Sherman Big Band
NJ native Evan Sherman is well known to audiences in NYC and he was reintroduced to NJ in 2019 when he brought his big band to open the Morris Museum’s Jazz fest that year. Now his big band will fill the stage on the Back Deck and provide an evening of exciting music. Founded in 2014, the Evan Sherman Big Band is a 16-piece ensemble of jazz veterans and New York’s most dynamic young musicians. Bring your own chairs and refreshments and enjoy live entertainment atop the Morris Museum’s elevated parking deck. Stunning sunsets, social distance, and glorious live music combine for a series of unforgettable evenings.
Alea
Alea is a progressive and pioneering artist delivering messages of love, connection and Latinx empowerment. Her original compositions summon lush, vibrant landscapes from La Guajira, Colombia to Bronx, NY. Buttery vocals, holistic guitar conversations and riveting sax solos evoke a “tropical wave” according to Cultura Colectiva (A leading digital magazine specialized in culture and Latinx content from Mexico City). Get ready to dance and sway to an infectious, soulful, Afro-Latin sound. Bring your own chairs and refreshments and enjoy live entertainment atop the Morris Museum’s elevated parking deck. Stunning sunsets, social distance, and glorious live music combine for a series of unforgettable evenings.
