Low Cut Connie
Low Cut Connie is an American rock and roll band based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Low Cut Connie has become the alter ego for frontman, pianist, and songwriter Adam Weiner, who has been the band's only constant member since its formation. Beginning as an impromptu recording session in 2010, Low Cut Connie gradually evolved into a vehicle for Weiner's songwriting and his onstage persona. The band has earned praise for its high-energy live performances, which Los Angeles Weekly described as "unmatched in all of rock right now." NPR Music described Weiner as “masterfully fluent in the foundational languages of Western pop.” Low Cut Connie has also gained notoriety for attracting high-profile endorsements such as a surprise inclusion on Barack Obama’s Spotify Summer Playlist in 2015, and a personal association with Elton John, who has called the band one of his favorites. Come watch Low Cut Connie at Blue Note NYC! Shows at 8 PM & 10:30 PM each night
Lee Ritenour
Lee Ritenour is an American jazz guitarist who has been active since the late 1960s. For Lee Ritenour, there aren’t many ‘firsts’ left to achieve. During his dazzling five-decade career, the fabled LA guitarist has taken his music to the outer limits, alighting on every genre and occupying every position in the rock ‘n’ roll firmament. He’s been an enfant terrible of ’70s fusion, a crossover star of the ’80s pop chart, an honorary exponent of Brazilian jazz, and the fingers behind ’90s supergroup, Fourplay. Ritenour’s accolades include: 45 albums, Grammy award winner, plus 16 Grammy nominations, Alumnus of the year at USC, Los Angeles’ Jazz Society Honoree (2019), plus thousands of sessions with legends such as Frank Sinatra, Pink Floyd, B.B. King, Tony Bennett, among others. Come watch Lee Ritenour at Blue Note NYC! Shows at 8 PM & 10:30 PM each night
An Evening With Darlene Love
Rock and Roll Hall of Famer and Grammy Award winner Darlene Love brings her hits to UCPAC! Come hear classics like “He’s a Rebel," “The Boy I’m Gonna Marry," “Wait ‘Til My Bobby Comes Home," and “He’s Sure the Boy for Me." The much-loved documentary Twenty Feet From Stardom, which prominently featured Love, among other famous and not-so-famous backup singers, was not only awarded with an Oscar for Best Documentary, but it was also soon followed by a Grammy Award for Best Music Film. Her famous fans include Bette Midler, Little Steven, Bruce Springsteen, and former Late Night host David Letterman, who invited her to appear every December for 29 years prior to his retirement to sing “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home).” Rolling Stone Magazine calls Love "one of the greatest singers of all time."
