NYC Looking Ahead To Phase Two Reopening By End of Month

Phase two of reopening could start earlier than the original target of July for New York City.    The data shows just one percent are testing positive now for coronavirus in the Big Apple with some 30-thousand plus tests being done daily.

“That is an amazing statement on what all of you have achieved, all of you have done.”

The data so good that Mayor de Blasio says officials are going to have discussions about further lifting beach restrictions and allowing pools to open. Pools were supposed to be shut this summer.  Meanwhile, the mayor was asked about starting phase two of reopening on June 22nd but didn’t want to commit to that date.

“If we are ready on June 22nd, that’s beautiful, but I don’t want people to have undue expectations.”
