The Bloomfield College Bears basketball team is expected to have another great season, and if last night was any indication, a possible championship one.  The Bears knocked off nationally-ranked St. Anselm 75-67.

Newark native and Bloomfield College senior Safee Abdus-Sabur led the Bears with 29 points.  It was the Bear's defense that locked down the powerful Hawks and kept them under 70 points, a goal for Bloomfield Head Coach Gerald Holmes.  Holmes and his assistant, Gage Daye, have both been SportsJam guests.
