On the February 8 WBGO Journal...

We’ll have recaps the first Democratic and Republican gubernatorial debates in New Jersey. Both were held at Rider University.

We’ll learn about a new album from the late jazz guitarist Coleman Mellett, a member of Chuck Mangione's band who died in a plane crash on February 12, 2009. Sixteen years later, Mellett's Sing You a Brand New Song is being released.

Mellett's widow Jeanie Bryson, renowned New Jersey singer, joins us along with album co-producer Barry Miles. The award-winning documentary about the project was released in 2019.
