We focus the entire show on Sony Pictures Classics new documentary film JAZZ FEST: A NEW ORLEANS STORY being released in theaters in NYC and Los Angeles May 13.

WBGO Journal host Doug Doyle chats with the doc's director, five-time Academy Award nominee Frank Marshall, along with the film's co-producer Quint Davis who is also the producer of the New Orleans jazz and Heritage Festival, the "Soul Queen of New Orleans" singer Irma Thomas who is featured in JAZZ FEST.

WBGO Journal film critic Harlan Jacobson also joins in the conversation. Harlan hosts a New York screening of the documentary on May 7.
