Montell and Kristin Jordan entered into the recording industry as artist and manager with the #1 hit song “This Is How We Do It” which earned a Grammy-nomination in 1996. Less than one year after saying “I do” the challenges of being married in the music business resulted in an unpredictable story where after two decades of world tours and millions of album sales, they chose marriage over music, faith over fame, and significance over success.
Now, the Jordans have released Shilo and the Not-So-Scary Girl Above His Bed. The story flips a classic childhood fear upside down by following Shilo, a little monster who is terrified of the noisy, stomping "creature" sleeping in the room above him—a little human girl. But with help from his mom, Shilo realizes that God is even bigger than his fears.
Montell and Kristin have been pastors, speakers, writers and marriage coaches for man years. Montell Jordan is also a two-time prostate cancer survivor.
