On this episode of The Art of the Story, actress Caitlin Kinnunen, who is best known for playing "Emma Nolan" in the hi Broadway musical The Prom, talks about how that role changed her life forever.
Kinnunen was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical in 2019.
The Prom is a musical comedy about a group of struggling Broadway actors who travel to a conservative Indiana town to support a lesbian high school student, Emma Nolan, who is banned from taking her girlfriend to the prom.
Caitlin Kinnunen just completed a run in Joe DiPietro’s An Old-Fashioned Family Murder at George Street Playhouse in New Brunswick, sharing the state with iconic All in Family actress Sally Struthers and Broadway veteran Tony Carlin.
