The nurses' strike is partially coming to an end in New York City.
For about a month now, 15 thousand nurses from three different private hospital systems have been on strike. The union representing nurses at the Montefiore and Mount Sinai hospital systems say they have reached a tentative deal to end their strike. The union says the deal will maintain safe staffing levels, protect health benefits and have safeguards to protect against artificial intelligence. More than four thousand nurses at New York-Presbyterian are still trying to work out a contract and remain on the picket lines.
