NYC Nurses threaten to walk off job Jan 12th

Nurses in New York City are threatening to walk off the job.

The New York State Nurses Association, representing about 20-thousand nurses at 12 private hospitals in the city has set a January 12th date for a strike. There is no agreement on a new contract with pay and benefits and staffing levels the main sticking points. The association says this would be the largest nurses strike in New York City history. Nurses from three Northwell Hospitals on Long Island may also strike.
