Minimum wage rising in NY And NJ

The minimum wage is going up in both New York and in New Jersey for the new year.

Most minimum wage workers in New York City, Long Island and Westchester County will get a 50 cent increase which will be 17 dollars an hour. The rest of the state will see a minimum wage of 16 dollars an hour. In New Jersey, the statewide minimum wage for most employees rises to 15 dollars and 92 cents. For workers of seasonal jobs and small employers, their wage goes up to 15 dollars and 23 cents per hour.
