Authorities have busted an enormous theft ring centered out of Queens involving stolen Home Deport merchandise.
Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz says 13 people are charged for stealing 2.2 million dollars worth of merchandise from Home Depots in New York and eight other states. Katz says the theft ring was well organized.
"Armando Diaz would decide on which items to be stolen by the Home Depots by checking their in store inventory online, sometimes doing the same Home Deport four times in one day."
The crew then allegedly brought the stolen goods back to Queens and sold the items. The theft ring takedown is the largest of its kind ever in Queens history.
