FDNY details 9-11 25th anniversary plans

New York City's fire department is releasing a series of plans to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the 9-11 terror attacks next year.

Fire Commissioner Robert Tucker says The FDNY plans to release a short film and a special podcast featuring first hand accounts from 9-11.

"Our mission in the 25 years since that day where so many innocent lives were lost has been to remember to do things needed to protect the legacy of those killed that day."

The fire department is also planning a special 25th anniversary ceremony on Staten Island for September 9th to remember the 343 firefighters killed on 9-11 and the hundreds who perished since from 9-11 related illnesses. There will also be a 25th anniversary health report released at some point.
