Organizations give Thanksgiving meals to those in need

Food banks across the area are handing out Thanksgiving meals to those in need this week.

The Community Food Bank of New Jersey plans to distribute 65-hundred turkeys, roasters and hams as well as 35-hundred holiday Thanksgiving meal boxes out of its warehouse in Hillside Monday. The community food bank helps hundreds of food pantries in New Jersey. Meanwhile, In New York, There are a number of places giving away Thanksgiving meals this week including Einstein Community Center in Co-Op City in the Bronx Monday and the Community Kitchen on East 7th Street in Manhattan on Tuesday afternoon.
