New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo applauds as he greets construction workers at the new 86th Street subway station in New York on Dec. 22, 2016. Cuomo helped secure more than a billion dollars in federal funding for the project and the MTA.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams is endorsing Andrew Cuomo for mayor.

It was not long ago, Adams was taking shots at Cuomo, but after dropping out of the race, Adams is now urging New Yorkers to vote for Cuomo in an effort to prevent Democratic socialist Zohran Mamdani from being elected.

"The city means more to me than anything and it is time for us as family to come together."

Mamdani's Reaction to the endorsement.

"Eric Adams and Andrew Cuomo are two illustrations of the same politics."

Republican mayoral candidate Curtis Sliwa shakes his head at the endorsement.

"Two birds of a feather flocking together. They deserve one another." Early voting starts Saturday. Mamdani is the frontrunner.
