Police are investigating the deaths of two teenagers that appear to be from subway surfing in Brooklyn.

Officers responded to a 9-11 call Saturday morning where they found two teens unresponsive at the Marcy Avenue subway station in Williamsburg. They were pronounced dead on scene. The circumstances around the deaths is still being investigated but authorities suspect they were riding on top of a subway train, a dangerous practice known as subway surfing. The city has recently taken a series of steps to address subway surfing including a public awareness camgaign on the dangers and using drones to spot subway surfers.
