NYC releases massive greenway plan

A massive plan to expand miles and mile of greenway space in New York City is being released to the public. The plan includes connecting many greenways in the five broughs.

The plan includes greenways on the Queens Waterfront as well as near JFK airport and 25 miles along the Brooklyn waterfront linking communities from Greenpoint to Sheepshead Bay. Staten Island's North Shore is also part of the plan. In Manhattan a lot of Broadway would be turned in a greenway for bikers and pedestrians. Josh Kraus is with the city's economic development corporation.

"This plan will ensure that New Yorkers from every corner of the City and visitors from across the globe can take full advantage of what New York has to offer."

There are no details yet on a timeline or costs for the potential greenway projects.
