The U.S. Justice Department is investigating New York State Attorney General Letita James connected to the civil fraud cause she brought against President Donald Trump.
A few years ago, James went after the Trump Organization, accusing it of inflating the value of its real estate to get favorable loans in a civil fraud case in which James won. There are multiple reports that James is now being probed by the Trump Administration over whether she violated Trump's civil rights. Meanwhile, The Justice Department is also looking into Jame's case against the National Rifle Association. Jame's office responded, releasing a statement saying “Any weaponization of the justice system should disturb every American,”
