New York Governor Kathy Hochul and state Democrats are apparently looking to retaliate against a plan by Republicans in Texas to re-draw congressional districts in an attempt to pick up Republican seats.

"We are not going to tolerate our Democracy being stolen in a modern day stage coach hoist by a bunch of law breaking cowboys."

Hochul says she's looking at every option to redraw New York's congressional maps in an apparent attempt to flip some seats to Democrats.

State Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie backs Hochul and slams Republicans in Texas for playing dirty.

"Editorial boards keep asking us to be fair and play fair and I think that's the wrong thing to ask us to do."

New York House maps were shot down by a court a few years ago for what the court ruled was a partisan advantage to Democrats. Hochul admits redistricting may not go into effect until 2028 at earliest. Some Texas congressional Democrats came to New York Thursday to join New York elected officials.
