New York City will be expanding access to free childcare for infants and younger toddlers.
Officials are announcing a new 10 million dollar pilot program Starting in January that expand access to free care for children up to two years old. Mayor Eric Adams says will be available for low income families.
"This will prove if successful that this will be the beginning steps of universal childcare for low income families."
Adams also announced 70 million dollars for pre-k special ed students by giving them more access to physical and occupational therapy or other related services.
