Federal authorities are still search for three of the four detainees who escaped from the ICE detention center in Newark late on Thursday.

New Jersey Senator Andy Kim says the detention center at Delaney Hall is going through a security review and there's and investigation into how four detainees were able to escape on Thursday.

"We are now going to try to get full confirmation from ICE headquarters about what is the future of this facility and whether or not they're going to shut it down,"

Kim says the detainees broke through drywall and took off. This followed reports of riots as ICE detention center with detainees complaining of poor treatment. Delaney Hall has been in the headlines after Newark Mayor Ras Baraka was arrested in May during a site visit.
