Officials in New York City are asking state lawmakers to pass legislation cracking down on repeat violators of speeders.
Sam lost his partner Amanda to a crash involving a speeder last year who racked up over 90 speeding and red light camera violations in a recent two year period.
"Driving in New York state is a privilege. Those that repeatedly violate our driving laws should lose or have the privileges limited in ways that make our streets safer."
Sam joined elected and DOT officials on Monday to renew their call for state lawmakers to pass the so called Super Speeders legislation. This would force drivers with six or more speed or red-light tickets in a two year period to install technology that prevents their vehicle from going faster than the speed limit.
