Even as flu cases rise, it's still not too late to get vaccinated.

It's the deadliest flu season in New York state history for children.

State Department of Health data shows 25 children across the state died from the flu this past season, the most ever for one season. Only one of those children was vaccinated while five were too young to get the vaccine. 10 of those deaths occurred in New York City. State Health Commissioner Dr. James McDonald points to a decline in flu vaccination rates, blaming misinformation for vaccine hesitancy as a contributing factor.
