New York City wants to make sure pre-k program funding will be there for years to come
Mayor Adams is making a long term financial commitment to Pre-K programs Schools. Chancellor Melissa Ramos says the administration is creating 167 million dollars in annual to support special Ed Pre- K and the expanded 3K program that will make sure it's there every year.
"Parents and guardians can balance childcare with their own careers and our babies can get a jumpstart, on learning to read, do math and develop social and emotional skills."
Meanwhile, the administration is also rearranging the federally funded Head Start Program to better meet community needs.
