Beer delivery workers have just gone on strike in New York City.
About 600 unionized employees working for Manhattan Beer And Beverage Distributors walked off the job Tuesday and went to the picket lines. They are not happy with their pension benefits and allege unfair labor practices including being overworked. They want more workers hired. The employees stock, prepare orders and deliver the beer to bars and restaurants in New York City and its suburbs. The strike could cause disruptions to a number of those establishments.
