New York City Mayor Eric Adams testifies during a House Committee on Oversight and Reform hearing on gun violence in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday.

A federal judge is not dismissing the federal corruption case against Mayor Eric Adams but wants further analysis.

The judge is appointing an independent attorney to make arguments against the Department of Justice's motion to dismiss the case against Mayor Adams. He also ordered another attorney to present arguments for the DOJ. Oral arguments are set for March 14th. The judge also said the previously set April 21st trial date for Mayor Adams is not happening. Adams denies accusations of making a deal with the Trump administration to cooperate on certain matters in exchange for his case being dropped.
