President Trump's administration is attempting to end congestion pricing for Manhattan.

The approval of the tolling program which was previously signed off on under the Biden Administration has been rescinded by The U.S. Department of Transportation. Governor Kathy Hochul is furious.

"I don't care if you love congestion pricing or hate it. This is an attack on our sovereign identity, our independence from Washington."

MTA Chair Janno Lieber says drivers will continue to get charged while the agency files a lawsuit against the Trump Administration, arguing their move to try and axe congestion pricing isn't proper.

"This program is going to stand up in court, remember we have been sued in every court east of the Mississippi and we have won every time."

President Trump wrote on social media, “Congestion pricing is dead. Manhattan, and all of New York, is saved. Long Live The King!,” Governor Kathy Hochul.

“We are not going to bow to the King, never have, never will.”

Danny Pearlstein is with the Riders Alliance, a huge advocate for congestion pricing.

"We have held two governores accountable. We have organized for a decade. We won in court in three states. We are not giving up."

Staten Island Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis thanked President Trump and says the program should not have been approved because proper environmental studies were never conducted.
