We are getting a further explanation of the high number of drones spotted over New Jersey and New York this past November and December.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt says after research and study, the drones were never found to be part of any threat from an enemy.
"The drones that were flying over New Jersey in large numbers were authorized to be flown by the FAA for research and various other reasons."
She adds that some were recreational and private drones flown out of curiosity to increase the large number of unexplained sightings. The drone flying happened over some sensitive areas and caused some disruptions like a brief runway closure at Stewart Airport.
