Luigi Mangione, a suspect in the killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, is escorted by police from an NYPD helicopter on Thursday, in New York, where he faces four counts of federal charges including murder.

The attorney for the man accused of murdering the CEO of UnitedHealthcare in New York City is not happy the way her client is being treated. They were in court Monday in Lower Manhattan.

Lugi Mangione's attorney Karen Agnifilo rattled off a list of complaints to the judge including that her client's rights are being violated and that the perp walk where Mangione was swarmed by security and cameras was unnecessary.

"There's a wealth of case law guaranteeing his right to a fair trial but none of the safeguards have been put in place yet here in fact it's just the opposite."

Mangione pleaded not guilty to murder as an act of terrorism and other charges in state court. That's after his not guilty plea last week to federal charges in the shooting death of Brian Thompson. Meanwhile, supporters of Luigi Mangione gathered outside the courthouse chanting "free Luigi."
