Advocates for congestion pricing are putting pressure on Governor Kathy Hochul to start the Manhattan tolling plan before Donald Trump becomes President again in January.

The Riders Alliance Just released ad targeting the governor who originally halted the start of congestion pricing at the last minute.

"Congestion pricing would ease traffic and improve our city's mobility, providing much needed support for our public transit, but Hochul's delays keep our air dirty, our streets clogged and our ambulances gridlocked."

Politico reports that Governor Hochul is looking to lower the toll to possibly nine dollars as opposed to the original 15 and that she is trying to move fast after the Biden Administration spent years studying it. Earlier in the year, Donald Trump vowed to stop congestion pricing if elected President again.
