NYC asks residents to conserve water

With no recent rain, New York City is declaring a drought watch.

The City's DEP Says October was the driest October on record, which has resulted in minimal inflow to replenish the reservoirs. Mayor Eric Adams is asking New Yorkers to try and conserve water.

"Something simple as not having the water run while we brush our teeth and other ways of ensuring we are not watering the lawn too frequently."

The mayor is also ordering city agencies to come up with water saving plans and to start implement those plans. The drought watch is the first of several levels of water conservations declarations the city can issue.
