A new modern terminal will be coming to Newark Airport.
Jackie McCarthy with the Port Authority says Newark Airport has insufficient taxiways, not enough gating and not enough aircraft parking.
"All of this cascades into numerous delays which makes us one of the most delayed airports in the country."
Terminal A is already nearly brand new but now Port Authority says its going to tear down and rebuild Terminal B.
"To create a memorable locally driven world class customer experience, to provide capacity for long term passenger demand, reduce delays and increase operational efficiency."
Port Authority doesn't yet have a price tag or timeline for completing Terminal B but the next few years will be the planning stage.
