Poll: Menendez loses support among NJ voters

menendez.senate.gov

New Jersey Senator Bob Menendez is not too popular among New Jersey residents.

A Monmouth University poll finds 63 percent of New Jersey residents think Senator Bob Menendez should resign and 75 percent say he's probably guilty of federal bribery charges he faces. Menendez's popularity is also sinking. Just 16 percent of voters approve the job he is doing. Menendez has not said yet whether he'll run for re-election but insists he's innocent and vows to fight charges accusing him of accepting bribes in exchange for political favors. He goes on trial in May.
