Authorities are looking for a gunman who shot and killed and Imam in Newark yesterday.
New Jersey Attorney General Matthew Platkin says Imam Hassan Sharif was shot in his car multiple times early Wednesday morning right outside a mosque on South Orange Avenue. He was rushed to the hospital and pronounced dead in the afternoon.
"The evidence collected thus far does not indicate that this was an act motivated by bias or an act of terrorism."
Platkin says detectives are now reviewing surveillance footage as they try and find the killer. There's a 25-thousand dollar reward in the case.
