The Dead Are Arising: The Life of Malcolm X, by Les Payne and Tamara Payne

The family of Malcolm X is filing a 100-million dollar wrongful death lawsuit.

Family members claim in the lawsuit that The NYPD along with federal authorities conspired to kill Malcolm X and then allegedly conceal evidence in a coverup.

"We believe that now it could be substantiated based on the recent exonerations of those who were wrongfully convicted."

Attorney Ben Crump filed lawsuit court papers Tuesday, the 58th anniversary that the civil rights leader was shot and killed in Washington Heights. There's been no comment from the city's law department and NYPD.
