The New Year’s Eve celebration in Times Square will be back to normal this weekend.
Scores of tourists and New Yorkers are expected to pack Times Square for a night of entertainment. The event returns to full capacity for the first time since prior to the coronavirus pandemic. President of Countdown Entertainment Jeff Straus says the ball that drops at midnight to ring in the new year features new crystal triangles.
"Every year Waterford brings us a beautiful new pattern. This year's pattern is a gift of love. It is circle of hearts entwined together bringing love to 2023."
Chelsea Cutler and Jay Hope will be among the many performers.
