New York Lt. Gov. Kathy Hochul speaks at a ribbon cutting ceremony in the Bronx borough of New York on May 4, 2021.

New York Governor Kathy Hochul is slipping in the polls.

Sienna College Poll spokesperson Steven Greenberg says nearly 6 in 10 New Yorkers do not approve the job Hochul is doing.

“This month her job performance rating fell net 10 points, last month it was four months, the month before it was five points. You see this trend and that’s got to be concerning to the Hochul campaign."

The poll finds crime is the number one issue and only 24 percent of respondents give the governor a positive rating with crime. The majority of voters do not approve the Buffalo Bills stadium deal but they are pleased with changes to bail reform laws and the suspension of the gas tax.
