New life Sciences Technology Building Complete In Harlem

Ribbon Cutting For Tastee Building In Harlem
Don Pollard

A new state of the art building for life sciences is ready for use in Harlem. The new Tastee Lab building will be home to small businesses, entrepreneurs, and academic tenants but the highlight will be life science technology. Manhattan Borough President Mark Levine says this opens the door in Harlem for opportunity.

“Kids in this neighborhood have not had direct access to those jobs in their home neighborhood. There’s no lack of talent is West Harlem, in northern Manhattan. There’s a lack of opportunity and we need to change that and we are doing that here.”

The 11-story, 350,000 square foot mixed-use development is located in West Harlem's Manhattanville Factory District.
