Marking 80th Anniversary Of Attack On Pearl Harbor

Its the 80th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor. On board the USS Intrepid in Manhattan, family members of Pearl Harbor survivors tossed a wreath into the Hudson River. This is the first time the annual ceremony on the USS Intrepid did not include local survivors because they recently passed away or couldn't attend because of health issues. Michael just lost his father to coronavirus, 100 year old Pearl Harbor survivor Armando Galella of Sleepy Hollow but wanted to come to the ceremony to carry on his father’s legacy.

“Time goes on and people forget. I guess it’s about education. It’s got to be about education. That’s why my father always spoke to schools and to young kids. Young kids got to have it in their minds.”
