Students in New York State may be forced to wear masks to start off the school year. Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul says she thinks there will end up being a mask mandate for schools across the state after she becomes governor. Hochul made the comments on the NBC’s Today. Right now, the state is leaving it up to individual school districts to put in coronavirus related rules. She also told the Today Show she expects on running for a full term once she finishes out Andrew Cuomo’s term. Hochul takes over for Cuomo August 24th. Cuomo is resigning following sexual harassment allegations.
