Andrew Cuomo is stepping down as New York Governor. After being hit with numerous sexual harassment allegations, Cuomo apologized for actions he took that he says made women feel uncomfortable, but Cuomo continues to deny any wrongdoing.
“In my mind, I have never crossed the line with anyone.”
Cuomo calls the investigating into him politically motivated but after numerous calls for him to step down and losing his top aide Sunday night to resignation, Cuomo is calling it quits.
“The best way I can help now is if I step aside and let government get back to governing and therefore that’s what I will do.”
Cuomo’s resignation takes effect in two weeks. Lt Governor Kathy Hochul will then take over. Before announcing his resignation Cuomo’s attorney blasted the state attorney general report accusing him of sexual harassment. The attorney says it’s full of errors and left out key witnesses.
