New York officials are pushing to require the coronavirus vaccine in order to fly in the United States.
New York City’s health department stats show 20 percent of COVID cases in the city are from people traveling. Councilman Mark Levine is the head of the health committee.
“It is absolute insanity that you can get on an airplane in America without vaccination.”

Congressman Ritchie Torres of the Bronx is introducing legislation mandating the shot in order to fly. He also wrote a letter to the FAA and Department of Homeland security asking the vaccine be mandated for flights.

“When I am going through security at JFK or LaGuardia, I have to show my passport and I should be able to show my proof of vaccination as well.”
