Tornado Damage to be Inspected Today after Intense Storms Hit New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware

Cell phones went off like crazy as New Jersey experienced one of its worst weather days in history when you consider the National Weather Service issued 12 tornado warnings throughout the evening in the state.

The National Weather Service says it’s possible as many as three or four tornadoes may have touched down in different parts of New Jersey Thursday night.

Damage assessment begins today (Friday).

The storms caused major flooding, especially in towns like Nutley where residents who to personally re-direct traffic to get home.

One suspected tornado struck Mercer CountyThursday night, leaving power outages, flooding and downed trees, while a second suspected twister touched down in the Lakehurst area of Ocean County.
