The marriage bureau is reopening in New York City. Offices of the City’s marriage bureau have been shut since March of last year because of the coronavirus pandemic, but starting Monday couples can once again book marriage appointments. On July 23rd, folks can once again tie the knot in person at bureau offices. Councilman Daniel Dromm has been a big proponent of marriage equality.
“No residency restrictions so people can come to New York. They can book their hotel room, have a honeymoon and get married in New York City once again.”

During the pandemic the city offered a virtual marriage service called Project Cupid.
