NYC Vaccine Campaign Will Not Take a Holiday

The city will have vans and buses to give vaccines at parks and beaches throughout the five boroughs.

A holiday weekend may be coming up but that doesn’t mean New York City is taking a holiday from its campaign to get everyone vaccinated.

At his last briefing before the Fourth of July weekend, Mayor De Blasio said the vaccination numbers in the city are encouraging -- almost 9 and a half million doses administered -- but the job is not done. If you haven’t gotten your shot yet, he said the city will make it very easy over the weekend.

“The Fourth of July weekend, vaccination buses and vans will be out where people are, locations all over New York City bringing vaccine to the people,” he said. “Please, if you haven’t gotten vaccinated yet this is your chance.”

Highland Park in Brooklyn, Orchard Beach in the Bronx, and Park of the Americas in Queens are among the places where shots will be looking for arms.
