There are growing calls for Governor Cuomo to resign after a third woman came forward with accusations that Cuomo has made unwanted advances.
A young woman tells the New York Times she had just met the governor during a 2019 wedding reception when he put his hand on her face and asked if he could kiss her.
Her story comes after two former Cuomo staffers accused the governor of sexual harassment. Assemblyman Tom Abinanti is among a number of Democratic state lawmakers now calling for the governor to resign.
“He’s shown disrespect to women and is not sensitive to the feelings of other people and from a person in a high office, that becomes abusive.”
Cuomo has not addressed the latest story but has apologized saying he made jokes that he says some people may have interpreted as insensitive.
