De Blasio Rejects Cuomo Response to Sexual Harassment Allegations

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio is not buying Governor Cuomo’s response to sexual harassment allegations.

Following the two former-staffer allegations of sexual harassment, Cuomo said his interactions may have been insensitive or too personal. He said he’s sorry that some things have been misinterpreted as an unwanted flirtation.

Mayor de Blasio was disappointed with his explanation. “That’s not an apology. He seemed to be saying oh, I was just kidding around. Sexual harassment is not funny. It’s serious. It has to be taken seriously. He just clearly was just letting himself off the hook," de Blasio said.

The mayor, who has had constant clashes with the governor, said he thinks there are more to come. “I think a lot of truth is coming out. I think more will come out," de Blasio said.
