Governor Andrew Cuomo is allowing local governments in New York State to expand coronavirus vaccine priority to other groups.
Cuomo says the federal government is yet again boosting the coronavirus vaccine supply over the next few weeks to New York. So he’s now allowing local governments flexibility to add groups the so called 1B priority category
“If they want to add developmental disabled facilities, if they want to add taxi drivers, Uber drivers, restaurant workers, they can do that.
Mayor Bill de Blasio requested the state allow New York City to make restaurant workers a priority with indoor dining resuming in the city on February 14th.
